When the Grundy family purchased this home in 1884, they set about turning the existing structure into a fashionable, modern house. The home was remodeled in the Queen-Anne style that combined modern conveniences and the technological innovations of the day along with a nostalgic styling that recalled an earlier, less industrial time. The home’s location along the banks of the scenic Delaware River provided the perfect place for the Grundy men to retreat to after long days directing the operations at the family woolen mill. Today, the rooms of the Grundy Museum are appointed as if the family has just stepped out for the afternoon.
The Grundy Museum is located in historic Bristol Borough – the oldest town in Bucks County! Open April – December. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. FREE tours at 1:15 PM; 2:15 PM; and 3:15 PM. All ages welcome!
