Step back in time to 1777 and experience the rich history of the Brandywine Battlefield. Deemed the largest land engagement of the American Revolution, nearly 30,000 soldiers fought in a 10 square mile area. Come and learn about General George Washington and his novice Continental Army, the British and Hessian forces under General Sir William Howe, and the impact on the peaceful Quaker population who witnessed the battle firsthand.
Guided house tours & tours of the battlefield, educational programs, museum and exhibit rooms, annual events, gift shop. Closed mid December – mid March. Check website for hours of operation and events. Admission charged.
