Washington Crossing Historic Park (WCHP) commemorates the site where on Christmas Night December 25, 1776, General George Washington undertook a daring overnight crossing to attack a detachment of Hessian troops quartered in Trenton. The crossing and the associated battles are often referred to as the Ten Crucial Days of the Revolution and are considered the first turning point of the war.
Includes the McConkey’s Ferry Inn, the 19th century village of Taylorsville, the Thompson-Neely House and Grist Mill, Bowman’s Hill Tower, outdoor recreation and picnic areas.

THE VISITOR CENTER
- Address: 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing, PA 18977 (directions to the Visitor Center)
- Hours: Open every day from 10 AM to 5 PM (see holiday closures below)
- Gift Shop: Open every day from 10 AM to 4:30 PM
CROSSING THE DELAWARE TOUR (HISTORIC VILLAGE)
- Regular Season (April through December): Tours are offered every day. The grounds are open dawn to dusk for free self-guided tours.
- Winter (January through March): Tours are offered every day at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. The grounds are open from dawn to dusk for free self-guided tours.
THOMPSON-NEELY HOUSE & GRIST MILL TOUR
- The Thompson-Neely House is closed until the completion of the Capital Project.
- Tour of the Grist Mill are available during the Regular Season (April through November): Guided tours are offered every day at 12:30 and 2:30 PM and must be booked online a day in advance.
- Winter (December through March): The Thompson-Neely House & Grist Mill are open on weekends in December and March, and closed in January and February. When open, tickets are required.
BOWMAN’S HILL TOWER
- Regular Season (April through November): Admission available every day, weather permitting, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Tickets are required.
- Winter (December through March): Bowman’s Hill Tower is open on weekends in December and March, and closed in January and February. When open, tickets are required.
HOLIDAY CLOSURES
The Visitor Center and park sites are closed on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day (January 1)
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)
- Columbus Day (second Monday in October)
- Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)
- Friday after Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve: Park offices close at 1 PM
- New Year’s Eve: Park offices close at 1 PM
